Among the personalities participating in the reading for the reading of Georgia: Kevin Spirtas (Winterthorne/Hustling/Days Of Our Lives/One Life to Live/Apt Pupil/Daredevil/Green Plaid Shirt/Valley Of The Dolls), Daniel Zacapa (Resurrection Blvd/Hill Street Blues), Lee Purcell (Persons Unknown / Valley Girl), Glenn Scarpelli (One Day at a Time), Jerome Ro Brooks (Tyler Perry’s The Haves And The Have Nots), Channing Chase (Mad Men), Kate Linder (Y&R), Carolyn Hennesy (True Blood/GH), Patrika Darbo (Days of Our Lives/The Bay) and Ann Walker (Sordid Lives / Child of The 70s).

WHY: Before “Transparent” swept the Globes and the EMMYS and before Caitlyn Jenner hit #1 on Twitter, the story of “Georgia" was being written by my friend, Joe Perales. it's a compelling and timely story that has been the subject of great debate in recent years. A topic that prejudice and fear has, for generations, been dictating public opinion, and will continue to do so until the very real struggles of those suffering the stigma, created by ignorance, has been told … and accepted.

On behalf of all of the George/Georgia's out there, both today and in the future, I/we thank you for your time and consideration to attend this reading.
